The electro-acoustic music composer Michel Redolfi created “Jazz, after Matisse” between 1988 and 1989. For each of the twenty cut-outs plates from Henri Matisse’s illustrated book Jazz (1947), a sequence of electronic music creates a vibratory connection between sounds, colours and shapes.
