Create your own Matisse Exhibition

In collaboration with the TOWN Planning and Architecture Forum of the city of Nice, the Matisse Museum has created the activity booklet: “Make your own Matisse exhibition”.

Children are invited to think about the active presence of the works in the space they occupy, and so look differently, through Matisse’s eyes, at the world around them.

This booklet is the basis for a creative workshop to set up at home, on your own, with family or friends. This activity is suitable for children aged 7 to 14. Parental help is required for the very young.

Download both booklets below and print them.

Booklet A: discovers the different professions, stages and fundamental elements for creating an exhibition: the curator, designer, scenario, the labels, light sources/shading, the positioning of elements in space, picture rails, frames, etc.

Booklet B: time to put it into practice! With reproductions of works and other items to cut out, create a 3D model of your own exhibition.

We’d love to receive a photo of your exhibition. You can send it to: sylvie.garet@ville-nice.fr!
